GPS Surveys

E. B. Holmberg Surveying is fully equipped with the latest in survey grade Global Positioning Systems (GPS) equipment. GPS surveying has become one of the cornerstones of our business. Our GPS department is fully staffed with geodesists and surveyors that excel in this rapidly expanding field. This combination of highly trained professionals and state of the art GPS technology enables us to provide first order GPS control surveys.

The Global Positioning System is a satellite-based system established and maintained by the Department of Defense. Civilian usage of the system varies from navigation to mapping to highly accurate surveying (sub centimeter level accuracy). Using our dual frequency real time kinematic GPS equipment we can provide differential GPS surveys that are fast, efficient and extremely accurate without post processing.

These surveys are consistently sub-centimeter accurate. When the GPS base is established on a known latitude and longitude, or if post processing is applied to the base station, we can easily provide standardized coordinates for GIS mapping or any other application that requires coordinates based on latitude and longitude, UTM zone, State Plane Zone, or any of the standard zones and map projections.

The utilization of GPS hardware, AutoCAD 2004 & AutoCAD Land Development Desktop software enables us to produce accurate data for our client's use. The applications for GPS are almost limitless. The efficiency and accuracy of the GPS system make it the ideal tool for boundary surveys, design surveys, mapping, control surveys, and many other applications.

Mapping

Clark Land Surveying provides a wide spectrum of mapping services. This is one of the fastest growing segments of our firm. This work typically involves support to engineering consultants, architectural firms and governmental agencies. Through the utilization of state of the art field to finish hardware and software, we are able to provide our clients with a seamless mapping product. Field data is collected in a digital format and processed with AutoCAD Land Development Desktop and AutoCAD 2004.
